Illustration Friday - Fearless

I added some color digitally; but I think I'll paint Mama and little Max with watercolor and give a little mixed media a try here.

Max always managed to end up in his parents' room at some point during the night, but his Mother's fearless determination always grabbed him by the hand, and walked him right back to his own bed. Young skunks need a good night's sleep in their own beds!

I remember one night a long, LONG, time ago, when I was a wee lass, my parents walked me back to my bed. Earlier in the day, they foolishly let me watch Count Dracula - the old Bela Lugosi B&W version. That night I dreamt that vampires floated out of the drawers of my dresser and surrounded my bed. I vant to suck your blood! Needless to say, I slept with the covers tight around my neck, and I did not get a good night's sleep that night. Ahhh, sweet, sweet memories!! :)

Stay tuned for the painted version (and watch your necks!).
